Daily Lego Maths: Day 5

How many bricks?
Can you estimate it? Can you work it out exactly?
What assumptions did you make?

A pyramid made from 2 by 2 lego bricks. The base layer is a white square 4 bricks wide. The next layer up is red and 3 bricks wide. Then the next is blue and 2 bricks wide. There is 1 yellow brick on the top. It is not clear whether the pyramid is solid or hollow.
